KS.1 Qa’idah
This course is for our younger students & learners who wish to take their first step into learning to read the Quran. Using fun and exciting game-play, students will be introduced to the Arabic alphabet and the basic vowels so they may be able to recognise letters in their different forms, learn about the naughty letters, learn the alphabet with the correct pronunciation and from where their sounds emanate (Makhraj). Our young learners will then progress onto joining the alphabets to form basic words.

 

KS.1 Introduction to Qur’an/ Memorisation/ Islamic Studies
In this level students will learn the Arabic alphabet and vowels and then progress onto joining them to read words and sentences. We follow a unique oral spelling pattern, which will help your child learn to read quickly Insha’Allah. Qa’idah Yassarnal-Qur’an is packed with words to practice reading; examples have been mainly taken from the Qur’an. In addition to this the Qa’idah is printed in accordance to the Uthmani script thus making it easier for your child to progress onto reading the Qur’an. In this level students will be taught the etiquettes and manners pertaining to reading and reciting the Qur’an as we as being introduced on to basic rules of Tajweeed such as Madd (elongation) and Sifaat (characteristics) of the letters including

• Qai’dah/ Qur’an emphasis
• Makhaarij and correct pronunciation
• Salah (prayer): Imaane-Mufassal (Detailed declaration of Faith) & Mujmal (Concise declaration of Faith)
• First four Kalimas (Articles of faith)
• Taught in Arabic with English translation
• Students will also study Qamar Book One for Islamic Studies.

 

Ks.2 Qur’an/ Memorisation/ Islamic Studies
This level is suitable for students who can read the Qur’an but have not formally studied all of the rules of Tajweed. In this level, students will learn the correct pronunciation of the letters and the rules of Tajweed through the medium of selected passages of the Qur’an.

Building on the rules previously learnt, students will complete the recitation of the Qur’an under the supervision of an experienced instructor. This course will consist of the following:

• Correct pronunciation and application of Tajweed rules.
• Makhaarij and correct pronunciation
• Salah (prayer): Adhan (call of prayer), Dua (supplication) of Adhan and the complete Salah
• Kalimas Five and Six
• Last ten Surahs (Chapters) of the Holy Qur’an
• Taught in Arabic with English translation
• Students will also study Qamar Book one & two for Islamic Studies.

 

Ks.3 Intermediate level: Qur’an/ Memorisation/ Islamic Studies
This level is suitable for students who can read the Qur’an with knowledge of the rules of Tajweed and can confidently recite the Holy Qur’an and know the prerequisites of Salah.  In this level, students will learn to continuously develop their recitation skills and memorise chapters from the Holy Qur’an and learn how to prayer in accordance with the Hanafi Madhab.

Building on the rules previously learnt, students will complete the recitation of the Qur’an under the supervision of an experienced instructor. This course will consist of the following:

• Correct pronunciation and application of Tajweed rules.
• Makhaarij and correct pronunciation
• Salah (prayer): The complete Salah, Ayat-tul-Kursi, Dua-e-Qunoot, Salaat-tul-Janaazah
• Last ten Surahs (Chapters) of the Holy Qur’an
• Taught in Arabic with English translation
• Students will also study Qamar Book three & four for Islamic Studies.

 

Ks.4 Advanced level: Qur’an/ Memorisation/ Islamic Studies
This level is suitable for students who can read the Qur’an confidently and know the prerequisites of Salah and have memorised the last ten chapters of the Holy Qur’an including the above mentioned essential teachings.  In this level, students will learn to continuously develop Qur’anic recitation

Building on the rules previously learnt, students will complete the recitation of the Qur’an under the supervision of an experienced instructor. This course will consist of the following:

• Collective recitation of the Holy Qur’an with Tafsir (exegesis)
• Learning from the Sunnah: Hadith: Heart Essentials Book -1
• Aqeedah (Islamic Creed): Aqeedah Essentials Book -1
• Seerah (Biography of the Prophet Muhammad): Seerah Essentials Book -1
• Students will also study Qamar Book five: Fiqh (rules of shariah (Islamic law)) and Akhlaq (Character building) sections

 

Week days Hifdh School
Our aim is to educate and prepare the younger generation of this Ummah through knowledge, wisdom, good morals and manners using successful methods existing in the Qur’an & Sunnah.

By educating our young Muslims, we will be molding the future generations in the UK, who by the permission of Allah, will become model British citizens and beacons of light in the wider society.

Our Madrasah provides structured learning for boys and girls aged 4-19. In order to create an atmosphere of correct Islamic morals and etiquettes, our classes are taught in gender appropriate environments.

Recognising that Islam is a holistic way of life, through teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, we aspire to nurture our Muslim community in the UK to espouse sound Islamic principles . This is done by promoting British and cohesive Islamic values to harbour good community relations such as respect, tolerance, justice

Assessment

All students will be assessed at the registration days and assigned class rooms according to the child’s ability, age and knowledge of the Arabic language. Throughout the course, students will be tested on an individual basis based upon their general understanding and participation in class.

All parents will receive progress reports at the parent’s evening held in December.
